Palmarosa essential oil: natural properties and benefits

Palmarosa essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried leaves ofCymbopogon martinii, a plant in the grass family native to India and other regions of Southeast Asia. Despite its simple appearance, this plant contains a fragrance that is highly appreciated for its floral freshness and softness, with an aroma slightly reminiscent of a rose, which has led to it being used for centuries in perfumery and natural cosmetics.
